The Finnmark FD-7 Thermo-Aspen Combination Barrel Sauna is an outdoor barrel that runs full-spectrum infrared and a traditional rock heater in the same cabin. Pour water over the stones for real steam, or use infrared alone for a longer, gentler session. The shell is thermally modified European Aspen, a timber treated with heat and steam so it resists rot and warping without chemicals, which is what you want for a sauna that lives outside year round.
Two heat sources in one cabin — full-spectrum infrared plus a traditional 4.5kW rock heater, up to 185°F when combined
Thermally modified European Aspen shell — 1.5" full-length staves, heat-treated for weather resistance without chemical treatment
Western Canadian Cedar benches and frame — naturally antimicrobial, stays cool to the touch at high heat
Sized for the backyard — 66"W x 72"D x 71"H inside, 135 cu. ft. cabin, dual-level benches
Five Spectrum Plus infrared heaters — 1 750 W total, very low EMF tested by NTS
Runs on a standard outlet for infrared — 120V 15A, NEMA 5-15P, 9 ft cord
8mm tempered glass — door and window panels with rubber gasket
